Lion rampant, supporting an oval scrolled cartouche, on low stone
base, affixed to a later plinth at the foot of the tower of the
church of St George alongside the entry to Hanham Court. C17.
Limestone with traces of ancient colour. Depicts a Creswicke
lion, emblem of the Creswicke family, owners of Hanham Court (qv)
at the time.
