SP 82 SW CUBLINGTON ASTON ABBOTTS ROAD

5/8 Southend Farmhouse

House. C17 central wing with gable to street rebuilt mid C18,
extended to right later C18 and C20, and to left 1870 as dated
on brick. Central wing is timber framed, the front gable
rebuilt in red and vitreous brick with red quoins and plain band
courses. Tiled roof, central brick chimney. 2 storeys, one bay
to front with 3-light leaded casements to main floors and blocked
openings to first floor and attic. Sun and County fire insurance
plaques. Later C18 bay to right is of chequer brick with first
floor band course and moulded plinth. 2 storeys. Leaded windows,
3-light to ground floor, 2-light above. Entry in C20 extension to
far right. Left bay is of red and white chequer brick with hipped
tile roof and 3-light leaded casement above altered doorway.
