Matron's House to Almshouses. 1907. By Silcock and Reay. Brick with plain
tile roof. 1 storey and attic. Windows are 3-light wooden casements with small
leaded panes, those to attic under gables. 2 Tudor-arched doorways with plank
doors to south and east fronts. Wooden round-arched loggia to east front, gabled
porch to south front. Erected at the expense of Sidney Hill of Langford House.
(Builder, January 1907; The Studio, April 1907).
