Inn, formerly house. Mid C17, extended. Rubble, double Roman tile roofs.
2 storeys, 3 windows, all 4-light casements with ovolo-moulded mullions under
timber lintels except centre ground floor which is C20 2-light casement under
relieving arch, to right of this is C20 gabled porch. 2 storeys, 2 windows in
lower east wing of C18 build; single storey hipped wing to west. Interior:
ogee moulded and chamfered beams throughout. (Source: L. Hall : The Rural
