Mid-late C17, altered and extended in late C19. Rubble with freestone dressings. Slate roofs. Rubble stacks with diagonal ashlar chimney. Two storeys and attics in 3 Dutch-shaped gables. Four windows: 2-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned and transomed under dripmoulds with returns; some retain leaded lights and saddle bars. Off-centre to left, 2-storey lean-to porch with segmental-headed doorway. To right of porch but attached to house is a mounting block and kennel; 2 flights of rubble steps with slate treads central kennel below with 4-centred arch opening. To right of main block is attached south wing: 2 storeys with attics in 2 gables with carved finials; 2 modern casement windows; large stack at south end with a group of 4 chimneys. Attached room to south has single light window with hollow chamfered surround and in side wall a 4-light king mullion window with hollow chamfers. Rear elevation; irregular, asymmetrical composition with off-centre 4-storey and basement stair tower, battlemented parapet and ogee capped bellcote.

Interior
South wing: large fireplace with stop-chamfered lintel and to left a studded plank door with on the outside open scroll strap hinges, carved surround with ogee mouldings and lintel dated 16.5 ; stop chamfered beams.
Main block: ogee moulded beams with stops. Some windows retain open scroll catches.

Garden wall which extends 25 yards from south-east corner.
