House and shop. Mid C18 with early C19 alterations. Coursed rubble with large
quoins and painted ashlar dressings; roof of graduated Lakeland slates with
stone ridge and coursed squared sandstone chimney. 3 storeys, 3 bays, the
third wider. 6-panel door at left in plain stone surround; slightly-
projecting shop in 2 right bays has recessed central door, with 4 rows of 3
panes, and windows with 4 rows of 5 panes, under narrow fascia and cornice.
Plain stone surrounds to 16-pane first-floor sashes; wide flat stone lintels
and projecting stone sills to 12-pane second-floor sashes. Roof has right
end chimney with string.
