GV II

House, early C16 with alterations and additions of various later dates. Timber
framed with partial Flemish bond brick facing. Thatched roof with brick stacks
to ends and on ridge right. One and a half storeys, ] window range. C20 2 and
5-light casements with horizontal glazing bars except to the ground floor left
which has a similar window without glazing bars. C20 plank door.
Internal features (RCHM): open fireplaces with chamfered bressummers; plank and
muntin partitions; several exposed jointed cruck-trusses. The chimney appears
to be an insertion of the C17 and the building may have originally been open to
the roof and have contained a central hearth. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.III, p.240,
