Picturesque cottage on pathway in pinewocd, circa 1850, ground floor and semi-attic,
all painted white except lower and narrower 2-storey wing of red brick projecting
at rear (with storehouse at ground level). Asymmetrical T plan, with east gable
carried down low over lean-to timber verandah-porch. Mullioned casements, diamond
lattice glazing (some gone), 3 lights with transom on ground floor, 2 lights
on 1st. Steeply pitched roofs, with ornamental scalloped tiles in bands alternating
with ordinary tiles, overhanging eaves, plain bargeboards. Diagonally set pair
of chimneystacks on ridge.

All the listed buildings in Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road form a group.
