Headstone. Dated 1813 in memory of Jane Newcombe. Slate. Upright slab standing
approximately 900mm high with a shaped head. The head contains a sunken panel
containing stylized angels holding an orb carved with a biblical quotation. The
main inscription is mostly Roman serif upper and lower case lettering but also
contains some italics and some Gothic lettering.. It records the death of Jane
Newcombe in 1813 and includes a biblical verse. The back is signed by Wm.
Carwithen, sculptor.
