6/15 Cross Park Cottage
GV II
Small house. Circa late C17 with C20 addition. Rendered cob walls. Thatched roof
hipped to left, gabled to right. Projecting rendered rubble stack at right gable
end with brick shaft. Axial brick stack to left of centre.
Plan: 3 room plan, left-hand room may originally have had outbuilding function.
Central room heated by axial stack at left end, right-hand room heated by gable end
fireplace. Outshut added at rear in circa early C20.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front of C20 2-light casements, 1-light
to left on ground floor. C20 leanto glazed porch to right of centre with part
glazed door behind. C19 plank door into left-hand room.
Interior: no early features exposed on ground floor, pegged roof trusses probably
C18.
