6/13 House about 60 metres east of
- Trecaine Farmhouse with attached
front garden walls and gateway

II

House with attached front garden walls and gateway. Early - mid C19 with few later
alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick dressings and quoins. Slurried scantle
slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: 2-room plan, the room to right slightly larger, each room heated from a gable
end stack. Integral unheated outshut along the whole of the rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical 3-window front; all windows of C19. Off-
centre to left is a C20 plank door; 16-pane sash with cambered brick arch and
keystone to right and left. First floor has three horizontal sliding 16-pane sashes
with cambered brick arches and keystones. Right and left ends blind. Attached front
garden walls in rubble with rough stone coping, about 1½ metres high, with front
central pair of plain granite piers with cast iron gate with wrought iron trefoil
finials. The garden wall is about 10 metres along the front and about 8 metres along
each side.
