4/70 Barn at approximately 20 metres
- east of Trevore Farmhouse
GV II
Barn. Circa early C19 rebuilding and extension of older building probably C18,
incorporating some C17 chamfered masonry, probably reused following a refronting of
Trevore Farmhouse, qv. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Slurried scantle
slate half-hipped roof.
Plan: Rectangular plan, probably a granary and fodder store over shippon and
stables. Threshing floor on the right approached by large flight of stone steps at
rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Irregular 2-window south-west front.
Central doorway with chamfered lintel, another doorway with chamfered doorway at the
far right (partly blocked); a blocked doorway midway between, a window on its left
and over; a window towards the left; a first floor window on the left and a loading
doorway on the right.
