- south-south-west of Burnewhall
Farmhouse
GV II
Barn. Circa mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings including much reused
C17 chamfered masonry. Corrugated asbestos roof with granite coped gable ends.
Plan: Rectangular plan with central threshing floor with opposing first floor
loading/winnowing doorways.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 2 window east-south-east front with doorway,
and loading doorway over, central to fenestration. Original openings, most of which
incorporate some reused C17 chamfered masonry. There is a roll moulding to jambstone
on left of left-hand window.
Interior not inspected.
