House with shop, now used as aquarium. C18 or early C19. Slatehanging to studwork
front otherwise rendered over rubble. Irregular grouted scantle slate roof with
brick chimney over the right-hand gable end. Cast iron ogee gutters.
Plan: irregular plan cranked at rear and comprising originally 2 irregularly shaped
rooms, shop left (with single storey C20 extension behind) and house, right, with
gable end fireplace and probably originally a shallow service room behind.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Slightly irregular 4 window north west front. C19 double
shopfront towards left, each shop window with 12 panes to the front and 3-paned
sidelights. Central doorway to shopfront with C20 door and blind overlight
(shopfront rises above first floor level). Doorway right of shopfront with C20 door
and overlight. 4-pane horned sashes.
