Farmhouse and adjoining barn. Probably C17, front rebuilt C18, extended C19. Granite
ashlar front otherwise granite rubble. Steep corrugated iron roof over house with
granite ashlar stacks over the original gable ends; grouted and slurried scantle
slate roofs over barn and part of rear lean-tos.
Plan: originally 2 rooms with larger hall/kitchen left and parlour right with cross
or through passage between. In the C19 a 2-storey barn (loft over shippon) was added
at the right hand side and single-storey service lean-tos were added behind the
middle, left, and at the left-hand side of the house.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 2 window south house front. Doorway
slightly right of middle. C19 4-panel door. Shallow lean-to porch with granite
monolith forming right hand side. Circa late C19 or C20 horned sashes.
Barn has central doorway and first floor doorway (now window) towards left.
Interior: not inspected.
