5/10 Pear Tree Cottage

House. Late C17/early C18 core with late C19/early C20 addition. Whitewashed
rendered cob with slate roof and stack at left gable end. 1 room deep, early core
2 rooms wide, probably widened at rear. Off-centre entrance now faces stairs.
Hipped roof to right end addition which is in slightly different axis. 2-storey, 3
window range with central, enclosed, gabled porch with slate roof. Ground floor
windows renewed casements. First-floor window left renewed casement; right,
renewed pivot casement. Fireplace to left gable end stack with chamfered granite
lintel with straight cut stops and cloam oven. Slate floor. Roughly-hewn ceiling
beams, some terminating at axial ceiling beam, some extended to rear by late C19/20
beams.
