Shop and flat, former house. C15 timber framed and plastered, former hall house
with gabled peg tile roof, breaking forward at a lower pitch over crosswing
at N end. This is jettied with one double hung sash with small panes, on first
floor, over canted bay window with small panes. On jetty is contemporary fire-
mark. The 'hall' part has 2 double hung sashes with small panes over C20
shopfront. At N end the base of C16 stack with C19 rebuilt top. Interior
reveals hall with inserted C16 floor, traces of service door and partitions
to crosswing and C16 fireplace. Evidence for former screen partitions between
cross passage and hall. Upper floor shows arch braced tie beams and frame
partially exposed. Roof rebuilt in C17. RCHM 27.
