Public house. Circa early C19. Dressed granite and elvan front brought to course,
with granite sills, voussoirs and lintels, otherwise painted rubble. Steep scantle
slate roof sweeping lower at rear with brick chimneys over gable ends.
Double depth plan with wider kitchen/living room left, parlour right, flanking cross
passage leading to central stair with shallower rear service room on either side.
Behind the right hand room and projecting slightly to the right is a gable ended
service wing at right angles. In the angle between the main part and this wing is a
small tapered-on-plan single storey link building narrower and curved at the front
with a mounting block in front.
TWo storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window east entrance front with doorway central to
flenestration and all grouped slightly to the right. The round-headed doorway has the
original doorframe with spoked fanlight. The windows are later 4-pane horned sashes
in the original openings.
