GV II
Farmhouse on the Cotehele estate, now house. Mid - late C19, with few later
alterations. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roof with ridge tiles and
gable ends ; 2 axial stacks in granite ashlar with cornices.
Plan: the main range is of 2-room plan, with the room to left slightly set back ; at
the centre to front and rear there is a shallow projecting wing, and the porch is set
in the angle to the front wing to left.
Exterior: Asymmetrical 2-storey front ; porch has hipped roof with plain door. The
central gabled 2-storey wing has chamfered granite casements, 3-light at ground floor
and 2-light at first floor. Single light at ground and first floor to right. The
right side has similar casements at ground and first floor. The left side has
similar casements at ground and first floor ; three single lights to the porch. At
the rear, the bay to left has door ; bay to right and single light at ground and
first floor. The gabled 2-storey wing has chamfered granite casements, 3-light a
ground floor and 2-light at first floor, with similar windows at the left side of the
wing, with a small gable over the first floor window.
