Mile post. Early C19. Cast iron structure in the shape of a cube sliced diagonally with a top tapering to the ground. Top face has the raised
metal inscription "Earls Colne" and "London 51 1/2 miles". Left side has
the inscription "Colchester 10 miles" and right side "Halstead 4 miles".
