II
Borough stone to mark the northern boundary of the borough of Callington. Circa C18.
Mutilated granite post, rectangular in section originally with rounded-head. Now
with flat top. Inscribed in upper case serif lettering 'BOUNDS OF BOROUGH' with 2
incised parallel lines below. Callington was created a parliamentary borough in 1584
but lost borough status in 1832.
