Barn: early C18 with C20 alterations. English garden wall bond red brick with buff sandstone dressings. Stone-coped Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge. Formerly 2-storey symmetrical 5-bay front now with some inserted C20 openings. Stone quoins, kneelers, copings and finials. End bays have chamfered stone doorcases with heavy lintels. Central cart entrance is now reduced, but is flanked by 2 elliptical pitchholes with stone surrounds and a line of vertical ventilation slots. Interior: now contains 4 large grain bins but roof structure of 4 queen post trusses and overlapping through purlins and ridge survives intact. Left end is a former shippon with a chamfered ceiling beam with a flat stop.
