House: late C18 with mid C19 verandah. Stuccoed brick. Hipped Welsh
slate roof, plastered chimneys. Double-pile plan. 2-storey
symmetrical 3-bay front. The house is raised and surrounded by a
stone-flagged terrace approached by 4 stone steps on which stands a
verandah standing on square wooden piers on stone bases, with a
moulded capstone carrying a baluster and shaped spandrels. Behind are
deep casements with diamond shaped glazing bars. Between is a
6-panelled door with marginal lights having similar glazing bars,
above which is a segmental fanlight. The end bays project forward
slightly and there is a plain band at 1st floor sill level, a moulded
cornice and a low blocking course. Upper storey has 12-pane sashes.
