C17 cottage at right angles to the lane. One-storey with attics. Original three
unit plan with later extension of one bay to right hand. Timber-framed and rough-cast
with plain tile roof. Ridge stack of local brick. Pantiled mansard roof and modern
side stack to right hand. Modern facade gable window, and large semi-circular bay
window. Two C18 leaded light casement windows at ground-floor. Two doors, one to
right hand in line with stack. Interior has two inglenook hearths, stop chamfered
ceiling beams. Inserted staircase and carved chimney pieces taken from Conington
Castle, Huntingdonshire.
