House, c1600 with bay to left hand rebuilt probably late C18 or
early C19. Timber framed, rendered with roof partly of long
straw thatch and part to left hand of pantiles. Ridge stack,
C18 of narrow gault bricks. Plan of three bays and lobby
entry. Two storeys. Four windows at first floor with small
panes. Four larger horizontal sliding sashes and doorway to a
C20 porch of brick opposite the stack. Interior: Timber
framing of substantial scantling and close centres is visible in
the centre and right hand end bay. The joists in the end bay
are unmoulded and laid flat. Posts are jowled at the heads and
there is curved downward bracing in the partition wall between
the centre bay and the right hand end bay.
