Cottage. C15 open hall with C17 alterations. Timber-framed, rendered and part brick
underbuild and longstraw thatch with half-hipped gable ends and rebuilt ridge stack.
Single range plan of four bays. One storey and attic, with east end'""possibly jettied.
One storey and attic. Three dormers. C20 fenestration. Inside: original plan of two
bay open-hall with floored ends. Floor and stack inserted C16 and C17. Framing exposed
including chamfered and boxed tiebeams, and chamfered principal posts. Wind braced,
side purlin roof with sooted rafters over the hall and some mortices as evidence of
a louvre. Double ovolo moulding to inserted main beam in former open hall.
