Early C19 inn. Local, red-brown brick, hipped slate roof. Two
storeys with attics and basements. Symmetrical facade of three
'bays'. Two first floor recessed twelve-paned hung sash windows
in cambered gauged brick arches with stone cills, central blind
window. Two boarded ground floor windows, originally similar to
those at first floor, flank a boarded door with round headed
gauged brick arch and plain fanlight. Side elevation has two
entrances, capped central stack and two dormer windows.
