GV II

Pair of farm cottages. Probably early/mid C19. Whitewashed and rendered ; thatched
roof, half-hipped at ends ; axial stack.
Plan: A pair of small cottages, probably single depth, with front doors at the
extreme left and right.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2 window front with regular fenestration. The
front doors are C20 and the ground floor windows have C20 glazing in original
embrasures. The first floor windows, probably original, are glazed with 3-light
timber casements, 2 panes per light.
Interior: Not inspected at time of survey. An unusually well-preserved example of
modest C19 labourers' cottages ; group value with the Old Forge (q.v.).
