The Vicarage

Vicarage. c1860 by Alfred Waterhouse. Built of stone rubble with ashlar
dressings and tiled roof with brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys and attics,
irregular fenestration. Front elevation has projecting gable to left with
oculus to attic, 2 cambered sashes with Caernarvon arches to 1st floor and
1 similar to ground floor with left side doorcase also with Caernarvan surround.
1 dormer to right with double sash to 1st floor, triple sash to ground floor
and other single sash windows and further doorcase with cambered head. East
elevation has projecting gable with oculus to attic, 2 light sash to 1st floor
and 3 light sash to ground floor. To the right of this are 3 sashes (central
one altered) and triple sash to ground floor to the left of the gable is 1
dormer and 2 sashes. North elevation has 2 parellel ranges with external
chimney stack and sash to left side range and gable with oculus to attic storey
and paired sashes below. Included as part of a village group all by the same
architect.
