House, now divided into two. Mid C18 with late C19 addition and alterations.
Coursed squared gritstone, rendered to eastern addition, with gritstone dressings
and raised quoins, rock-faced to C19 addition. C20 concrete tile roofs,with stone
coped gables with moulded kneelers to original mid C18 house and C19 addition. Two
storeys, each cottage two bays. Medway Cottage to west has raised quoined doorcase
with keystone in large lintel and C20 glazed plank door. To west, C20 window in
raised surround, and to east raised 2-light square section mullion window with C20
casements. Above, similar windows in same arrangement. Attached cottage to east has
inserted C19 flush doorcase with glazed panelled door to east with triple sash in
raised, formerly mullioned, surround to west. Beyond to east, the line of C18 quoins
and a plain sash in flush surround to C19 addition. Above, to west, C20 window in,
formerly mullioned,C18 surround and to east C20 window in C19 flush surround.
