House. Early C19, with mid C19 additions. Earlier part
regularly coursed squared coal measures sandstone, the later
part red brick with diagonal ashlars and plain brick stacks, all
below a hipped thatch roof. South-east elevation. Two storeys,
three bays, with an advanced two storey central porch supported
on four rustic timber pillars. The porch roof is hipped and
thatched. Central doorway with plain surround and gothic arched
glazed overlight with leaded lights and V glazing bars.
Flanking ground floor windows are 3-light sashes with gothic
pointed heads below hoodmoulds with stops. First floor windows
are smaller 3-light casements, the window above the porch is of
4-lights, all first floor windows having hoodmoulds with stops.
Brick extension to rear with plain glazing bar sashes.
