2 houses. C17 with later addition. Painted stone rubble with slate roof.
2 storeys, 5 bays, the 1st 2 bays form later addition. Slate dripcourse to
ground floor. Windows have C20 casements, the end ones fire windows. Entrances
to 1st and 3rd bays, that to 3rd bay has slate gabled canopy. Gable-end stacks
and cross-axial stack. Interior said to have C17 panelling. Included for group
value. Property of The National Trust, the gift of Beatrix Potter.
