House. Datestone inscribed: "IPA/1764" but probably late C17 or early C18.
Stone rubble, the house roughcast. 2 storeys, 4 bays, the 1st bay probably
later, barn to right. Windows have casements; 2nd bay of 1st floor has window
with small-paned fixed glazing with upper opening lights. 1st bay has no
windows, but entrance under dripcourse. 3rd bay has entrance with gabled slate
hood. Cross-axial stack and gable-end, stack. Barn to right has inserted garage
doors and gabled wing with pitching hole. Left return has 1st floor window with
dripstone and small-paned fixed glazing. Rear has stair wing under cat slide
roof. Varied casements, 1st bay has 3-light wooden chamfered-mullioned window
with intermediate bars, 3rd bay has entrance; 4th bay has no windows. Interior
has datestone over inserted fireplace and winding stair to bowed inner wall of
stair wing. Chamfered beams. Barn has 2 collar and tie beam trusses and one
kingpost truss.
