TL 51 SW MATCHING CARTER'S GREEN
3/86 Willow Cottage

Pair of cottages, c.1800, converted to one house, altered and extended in C20.
Timber framed, roughcast rendered,roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays
aligned E-W with 2 axial chimney stacks. Single storey lean-to extensions to
N. 2 storey crosswing to W and single storey lean-to extension to N of it,
both C20. Porch at E end, C20. Single storey with attics apart from
crosswing. Ground floor, 5 C20 casement windows, halved door. First floor,
2 C20 casement windows, 3 gabled dormers with C20 casement windows. Frame
partly exposed internally. No jowls, primary straight bracing. Roof probably
thatched originally. Listed for Group Value.
