Chipping Hill House
TL 8130 NE 2/19


Late C15 or early C16 timber framed house, altered in C18. 2 storeys attics
and cellars. Cross wing at north end. Red plain tile roof. Front is of C19
painted brick with parapet. Double hung sashes with glazing bars. Moulded
brick string course. Internally, some frame, including stop chamfered bridging
joists, visible in main block. Cross wing has moulded bridging joist with rolls
and sunk chamfers, supported on solid knee braces.
