GV II
Early C18, extended early C19. Timber framed and weather-boarded on red and blue
chequered brick base, with some sandstone, with plain tiled roof. Extended with
sandstone and slate roof. Barn half-hipped with central boarded cart doors (the
elevation to south, facing house, heavily ivy-grown) and with boarded half doors.
Sandstone outbuilding (former pigsty) now used for garaging with C20 garage
doors. Interior of barn: 3 bays, with wind bracing. Renewed roof. Many reused
earlier timbers. Included for group value.
