Originally 1 house now 2. C18. Originally grey brick with red brick window dressings
but 1st floor of No 183 new red and grey brick, presumably altered in C19. Old
tiled roof. 2 1/2 storeys with 1 hipped dormer each. No 183 has a 3 light sash,
No 185 has 2 sashes with exposed frames and glazing bars and 1 centre red brick
blank with old fire insurance mark to the south side of this. Ground floor of
No 183 has 3 light sash in stucco surround, late C19 glazing. Door with plain
rectangular fanlight and damaged trellis porch. South side of facade has good
doorcase with pediment, consoles, pilasters and good radial fanlight. Advanced
C19 shop front with end consoles and fluted pilasters.
Nos 183 and 185, No 189, Nos 193 to 201 (odd) and No 195A, Nos 209 to 219 (odd)
form a group with Nos 200 to 204 (even) opposite.
