Row of pleasant 2 storey early C19 and later stucco houses with gardens overlooking Vivary Park. Nos 1 to 6 (consec) Vivary Apartments is a block to the rear of No 29 Mount Street facing north towards High Street. Fronts on Mount Street are mostly colourwashed rubble. Mostly old tile roofs of varying levels, with higher hipped slate roof to north end. Some mid C19 Gothic detail especially at north end where there are pointed lights and rectangular dripmoulds. Mostly sashes with glazing bars. Nos 25 and 26 have wooden doorcases with 2 panel doors. An important group on the edge of Vivary Park.

All the listed buildings in Mount Street form a group together with the School. Unitarian Chapel, the Lawn and Mary Street House, Mary Street, the listed buildings in Vivary Park, Wilton House in Hammets Walk and Nos 1 to 14 (consec) Upper High Street.
