Gates and gatepiers fronting road

GV II

Gates and gatepiers. Early C19. Red sandstone random rubble and cast iron. Gatepiers, square, flat topped, stepped
sides about 2.5 metres in height. Double gates, spearhead uprights, frieze of rosettes. Possibly reset since the gates
are much superior to the gatepiers. Listjd primarily for group value with the Old Rectory (qv).
