House, formerly school master's dwelling. Early to mid C17 origins,
altered and refaced in early C19. Originally timber framed. Red brick
with white brick dressings. Tiled roof. 2 cells. 1 storey and attic.
Recessed entrance to left of centre, later weatherboarded porch.
Flanking small pane horizontal sliding sashes, recessed with slightly
cambered white brick heads, unevenly spaced. Over entrance and right
window are gabled dormers with small horizontal sliding sashes. Left end
extruded stack of C17 brick with tumbled-in offsets. C19 stack at right
end of ridge. Roughcast right gable end. Interior not inspected.
Included for group value and historic interest as C17/C18 village
school house.
