House, now 2 houses. C17 altered, divided and refaced in early
C19. Timber frame plastered and lined as ashlar. Brick facing
at front of white brick with red brick in alternate courses as
dressings. Steep old red tiled front slope to roof. Rear slope
raised and extended in slate over C19 rear extension. Central
chimney and handed plans with doors remote from fireplaces. 2
storeys, each house with a small recessed sash window on the
upper floor. Similar window on ground floor of no 43. No 41 has
a small canted bay window with sashes, inserted in a wider
opening. Boarded doors.
