House, now 3 properties. Early C18 or earlier. Timber frame
roughcast with stuco plinth. Outbuildings dark weatherboarded.
Old red tile roofs. 2 storeys 3-unit plan with large central
chimney 1/3 from N end. C19 shallow rear extension with 2 gables
adjoins older rear wing at NE. Single-storey outbuildings extend
to rear along lane. Facing W with 4 small flush box sash windows
to upper floor, with moulded surrounds and 8/8 panes. No 16
includes the 3 southern windows and has a 4-panel half-glazed
door with moulded surround and pointed hood on shaped brackets
under 2nd window. 3-light casement window with moulded
projecting canopy on right of door and large flush box sash
window on left with 6/6 panes. At N corner a small shop window
with 6 panel moulded door (No 18). On N end wall a door (No 18A)
similar to No 16 with one window on each floor to left. Flush
box sash windows with moulded surrounds. The upper with 8/8
small panes: the lower with 10/10 and 4 panelled external
shutters. 2 doors into outbuildings.
