7/191 Morwents Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse; early C19; red brick, Flemish bond, on random rubble
plinth; rendered gables; slate roof. 4 windows wide, 2-room
deep with M-roof; 2 storeys. Front door in place of second
window from left up 6 stone steps: 6-panelled door, bottom 4-
fielded with scalloped corners, upper 2 glazed: reeded frame in
plain reveal, semi-circular fanlight with curved glazing bars.
Roman Doric pillar each side, fluted block over, with open pediment
above: dentils under slopes against wall. Sash windows, stone
sills and deep lintels with splayed ends, soffit slightly
overlapping jambs.
