Farmhouse. Probably C17 with later extensive alterations. Part timber-
framed with brick infill, part brick with steeply pitched, tiled roof
hipped to west. Hall and cross-wing type plan with single bay 'hall' and
2 bay cross-wing intersecting to east and C18 wing adjoining west gable end
projecting to rear. 2 storeys. Main elevation partly refaced in brick
with 3 course platt band in early C18; additional refacing and refenestration
in C20. 1:2:1 bays, all windows are large C20 multi-paned casements of 2 and
3 lights, transomed to first floor of cross-wing, French casement to left
bay of ground floor. Doorway to bay adjoining cross-wing has C20 moulded
architrave and canopy on console-brackets with C20 2-panelled door. Chimney
stack to ridge to left of original range; also additional stack to side
elevation of cross-wing.
