SO 4461 KINGSLAND CP LONGFORD (north side)

13/47 Corners Inn

GV II

House and barn, now public house. C17, with early C19 refronting and
late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill refronted in
painted brick under tiled and corrugated iron roof. Three-bay barn to east
of house linked by a late C20 block. South front to left, the house of two
storeys, gabled to road with two windows, both 16-pane sashes under segmental
heads. Ground floor has similar windows, and a C19 porch with slate roof,
three-pane overlight and a panelled door. Barn to right has threshing floor
entrance filled with brick with a 5-light casement, and a 3-light casement
to the right. Framing of the barn is three square panels high. Of house
exposed on west front, three square panels high, with straight angle braces
to tie-beam, the truss was removed in the C19. Included for group value.
