House. C17 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with
painted brick and rendered infill, brick replacement walling and additions
painted to resemble framing and plain tiled roof. Three framed bays aligned
roughly north/south, large chimney between north and central bays with brick
ridge stack and a C20 external chimney at the south gable end; a brick bay
adjoins the north gable end continuing the roof ridge. Single storey and
attic with dormers. Framing: two and three panels from sill to wall-plate,
long straight braces in lower corners; no trusses visible. West front
elevation: irregular fenestration; three 2-light casements and a 3-light
casement; two C20 flat-roofed dormers with 3-light casements; C20 stable
door in north bay of original part. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior
not inspected but noted as retaining much of its internal framing. C20
additions at rear.
