8/43 The Old Post House

House. C17 with late C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered
brick infill on lias plinth, tile roof. Two framed bays aligned north/south,
additional C19 brick bay to north; stack at north end of two framed bays.
One storey with attic lit by a 2-light casement in central gablet; ground
floor: two angled bay windows with hipped tile roofs flank a roughly central
entrance with a 3-light casement immediately to left, lean-to canopy over
entrance and ledged door. Framing: south gable: three square panels high
with curved tension braces; C19 herringbone struts to truss.
