10/11 The Vicarage


GV II

Vicarage. Behind church. Mid-C19. Knapped flint with brick dressings. Studied assym-
metry of 3 gabled front end, 2 gabled other sides. Front 2 storey, 3 bays,
that to right smaller and projecting 1½ storey porch between other bays.
Porch open with 3-centred arches with hood moulds under it top-lit door with
Gothic glazing. Above 2-light window with round-headed casements with fixed
lights above in square-head with hood mould. In centre bay large similar
3-light windows, while left bay has blind similar openings. C20 top-lit
door right end of centre bay. Right bay projects slightly and on ground
floor garage door inserted with matching brick dressings. Above 2-light
window. Gables have brick coping and right gable knellered. Behind,
between left 2 gables chimney of 2 stacks with united head.
