12/25 The Forge


Working forge. C18. Brick with plain tile roof. End on to road, single
storey with tall roof, 4 window range. Door near road end and at far
end. C20 windows. High hipped roof with stacks in rear end hip and on
rear face at centre. Inside C19 brick forges, with 2 forges served by
one stack which divides into 2 flues forming an arch. Queen post roof
with reused timbers.
