SU 54 SW MICHELDEVER WEST STRATTON

Cottage. C17, enlarged 1880 by Ernest Newton. Timber-frame with colour-
washed brick infill and rebuilding, roof thatched. T-shaped, 3 bay C17
house with projecting C19 bay to centre (2 storey). Left and right bays
each have a C10 oak headed mullioned window to each floor. C19 front
wing is fitted with large 4 light oriel on first floor, and scantling
timber frame. Roof steep pitched with cruciform brick stack at centre
where ridges meet, valleys tiled.
